We all know 2 is twice as great as 1. Yet when it comes to music, it’s One-Hit Wonders who get all the attention. What about all of the unsung Two-Hit Wonders?
We wanted to find out more about them.
So we ranked artists by the height of their songs’ popularity and how long they were popular. Using Billboard’s Weekly Top 100, we assigned points for each week a song made the list. A song positioned # 1, 10 and 100 across three weeks gets a score of 191 (100+90+1). Then we ranked two-hit artists by their combined song scores.
